Stripe partnered with Dripos to tell the story behind a product shaped by coffee shop owners. Founded in 2019 by Jack Pawlik and Avery Durant, Dripos began as a mobile ordering app for independent cafés. As Pawlik spoke with more owners, a clear problem emerged. Shops were juggling too many separate tools. What they needed was a single system to run the entire business. The video focuses on how Stripe’s hardware supports that approach in day to day service.
We filmed at Revolución Coffee in Austin, Texas, capturing how staff use the Stripe Reader S700 during a normal shift. The Android based reader works as both a countertop and handheld device on Wi-Fi, making it flexible for fast moving café environments. The creative approach focused on real interactions between staff, customers, and the technology rather than staged demonstrations.
Production took place during active service hours inside a compact shop. The crew worked with a lightweight setup to move quickly and avoid interrupting the baristas or customers. This allowed us to capture genuine moments of ordering, payment, and workflow.
In post production, interviews with Pawlik were combined with observational footage from the café floor to clearly show how Dripos and Stripe work together in practice.
