When DP World partnered with McLaren around the Singapore Grand Prix, they wanted more than a sponsor spot. They wanted a piece that captured the precision, intensity, and global energy that defines Formula 1. With Lando Norris at the center, the brief was clear: create a 30-second film that felt as sharp and fast as race weekend itself.

We began at the McLaren Technology Centre in London, shooting Lando inside the team’s iconic headquarters. Training sequences on the reaction board and exercise bike gave us a visceral starting point. From there, we built a series of highly stylized portraits, leaning into controlled lighting and deliberate framing to present him not just as a driver, but as a focused competitor in motion. Those images became the backbone of the film’s visual identity.

To anchor the story in place, we paired the London footage with a separate shoot in Singapore. Hyperlapses of the city skyline, kinetic street-level shots, and Grand Prix atmosphere added scale and texture. The edit was meticulously pre-planned, with transitions mapped out from the start, but it was also one of those rare projects that truly came alive in the timeline. Inspired in part by the intensity of modern F1 storytelling, we layered in starting board sequences, mixed media from the team garage, and unexpected visual beats that emerged through experimentation.

Sound design carried as much weight as the visuals. Mechanical clicks, rising tones, and sharp transitions drove the pace forward, giving the piece a pulse. In just 30 seconds, the film moves from quiet preparation to full-throttle anticipation. The result is a tightly crafted promo that reflects the partnership between DP World and McLaren while capturing the electric build-up to Singapore.
