Capturing the Spirit of Dublin Independent Fashion Week 2025

At Dublin Independent Fashion Week 2025, over 60 creatives came together across 30+ events to build something bigger than a series of shows — a design-led, community-focused movement rooted in independence and collaboration.

Our goal wasn’t simply to document it. We wanted to capture the vibe — the late nights, the backstage intensity, the precision, the chaos, and the collective energy that drives Dublin’s independent fashion scene.

To do that, we built the film through layers. Using multiple VFX techniques — overlays, a 3D film camera, fragmented edits, and textured transitions — we created a visual language that mirrors fashion itself: constructed, dynamic, and deeply collaborative. The layering reflects both the visible spectacle and the unseen hard work behind every show.

As well as one hero film, we wanted to make short form social clips that Dublin Fashion Week could post on their socials to grab attention to boost their brand.

Directed by Saoirse Johnston Gaffey and composed by Wastefellow, the piece blends immersive visuals with an evolving soundscape that moves with the rhythm of the week — preparation, performance, and everything in between.
