Directed by the brilliant Leonn Ward, this christmas commerical was built around exactly that idea — capturing small, human moments that feel familiar, warm, and quietly cinematic.

From the outset, the aim was to create something that felt authentic and grounded with a realistic tone of chaos that comes with the Christmas holidays.

Working with Leonn Ward meant approaching the project with a strong focus on character and atmosphere. Leonn has a remarkable ability to find emotion in subtle moments, and that sensibility shaped the production from the earliest stages. Rather than leaning into overtly commercial storytelling, the intention was to create something that felt observational and honest, reflecting everyday life in a way that audiences could instantly recognise.

Visually, the film was crafted with a soft, naturalistic approach by Director of Photography Olan Collardy. The camera work and lighting were designed to feel gentle and unobtrusive, allowing performances and small interactions to lead the storytelling. Every element - from the production design through to styling and casting - was carefully considered to create a world that felt lived-in and believable.

As with any character-led piece, casting and performance were central to the process. The voice of Gabriel Byrne brought a quiet authority and warmth to the film, helping anchor the story while adding a distinctly Irish tone to the campaign.

Behind the scenes, the production was a true team effort. From art direction and locations to camera, costume, and post-production, an incredibly talented crew helped bring the project together. Collaborating closely with the teams at Public House and Dunnes Stores ensured the creative vision stayed consistent throughout the process while allowing space for craft and detail at every stage.
